The Zonta Club of Maricopa has a $500.00 Scholarship Award
Applications must be received by the applicant’s local Zonta club’s deadline. The Young Women in Public Affairs Award is a Zonta International program funded by contributions to the Zonta International Foundation. Zonta International is a leading global organization of professionals empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy.

Freya was the Zonta Club of Maricopa's YWPA, Young Women in Public Affairs Scholarship this year. We were excited because as a new club/foundation this was our first Scholarship to be awarded. Due to Coronavirus, we had a parade to her home and awarded her there. It was the next day or two that she found out about her prestigious Presidential Scholar Award. She is so deserving and we are proud that she is our first award winner. She will go to the University of Arizona and wants to be a pediatric neurologist. She also won an award from District 9.
